Strengthening our production capacity
At Zerbimek, we continue to advance in our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. In recent months, we have taken a very important strategic step to strengthen our production and competitive capacity: the introduction of two new Lagun Machinery machining centres and the automation of one of them with the Nachi MZ12 robot. Both the machining centres and the robot are now operational at our facilities.
LAGUN 5-AXIS EVZ630 MACHINING CENTRE
The first of these pieces of equipment is the Lagun 5-axis EVZ630 machining centre. This is a high-precision machine designed for the manufacture of complex and large parts, allowing us to expand our design possibilities and reduce machining times. With travel distances of 850 mm on the X-axis, 820 mm on the Y-axis and 610 mm on the Z-axis, it is capable of working with parts up to 750 mm in diameter and 450 mm in height. Its rapid feeds and range of rotation on the A axis reinforce the machine’s ability to adapt to demanding parts in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, rail, industrial and capital goods.
LAGUN L850 MACHINING CENTRE WITH AUTOMATED ROBOT
At the same time, we have introduced a LAGUN L850 machining centre with an automated loading and unloading system using NACHI’s MZ12 robot, integrated with GarantBasic technology.
This system represents a major leap forward in terms of productivity and resource optimisation, as it allows the machine to work more autonomously, freeing up our team to focus on tasks with greater added value. The robot has six axes, a horizontal reach of up to 1,454 mm and a load capacity of up to 10 kg. It also offers protection against dust and splashes, ensuring reliability even in demanding working environments.
With these investments, at Zerbimek we are strengthening our production capacity and taking another step forward in improving our processes.
